Staff: Enrollment Management - Director of Undergraduate Admissions

Cedarville University is seeking to hire a Director of Undergraduate Admissions to effectively lead in all activities related to the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of undergraduate students.  This is a full-time, twelve-month (2080), exempt position that reports to the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Consideration for an Associate Vice President designation based on relevant work experience and qualifications.

Position Responsibilities:

• Direct the recruitment program of the University to achieve short and long-term undergraduate enrollment goals.
• Build, lead, train, encourage, and motivate a successful, undergraduate admissions team through encouragement, modeling, and feedback.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective admissions application process.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the University’s marketing plan.
• Pursue strategies, programs, and resources that will benefit recruitment.
• Represent the University at recruitment-related functions.
• Foster relationships with key influencers such as secondary school leaders, church leaders, and alumni.
• Assure compliance with applicable recruitment and admissions ethical guidelines (e.g. NCAA, NACAC/NACCAP, etc.)
• Engage the University family in the recruitment process.
• Conduct research to evaluate programs, policies, and procedures, and to maintain an understanding of the recruitment market.
• Oversee the department's administrative functions such as hiring, training, evaluating, assigning tasks, meetings, etc.
• Serve on University committees related to enrollment.
• Effectively manage departmental budget to accomplish goals.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree strongly preferred. Educational background in sales, marketing, leadership, business, or communication preferred.
• Three years of successful experience in admissions or an equivalent sales leadership environment.
• Cedarville University alum preferred.
• Proven track record of successfully meeting goals.

• Blameless reputation in personal, financial, public, and professional affairs.
• Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Christian higher education.
• Understands contemporary marketing methods and current issues in student recruitment, retention, and financial aid.
• Experienced with basic software packages, e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, CRM system, and administrative database.
• Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. Additionally, a qualified applicant must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University's Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and general Workplace Standards.
