Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Staff Assistant for NJMS-PHRI CENTER. This position is under management direction of the Department Administrator and is responsible for assisting with the administrative activities within the department.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Performs a variety of duties and provides administrative support within the department and to faculty.
  • Assists with assembling and submitting documentation for Annual Faculty Evaluation Performance.
  • Responsible for maintaining database for all compliance trainings for staff and faculty.
  • Responsible for maintaining database for International Visiting Research Scholars (arrival and departure).
  • Assists with the preparation and assembling of internal visa applications.
  • Routinely updates and maintains curriculum vita for faculty.
  • Provides Administrative support for faculty and staff

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, Public or Business Administration, the Social Sciences or a related field,
  • Plus one (1) year of professional level experience in a business office, government agency, or university setting.
  • Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with additional software packages of Microsoft Word, Excel Software and courier software preferred.

  • Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert force up to ten (10) pounds.
  • Work Environment: Office environment. No significant exposures or noise levels
