SRA 1 (Staff Research Associate)
Job Summary
Under general supervision, this SRA I will be responsible for biochemical and molecular biology experiments, cell culture, maintenance and genotyping of the mouse colony, and general lab maintenance and safety training.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    Minimum Education/Experience:
  • Experience with basic biochemical and molecular biology techniques.
  • Experience with mouse colony maintenance and genotyping.
    Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of PC operating system, Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, google sheets and google docs.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills to maintain an effective, positive, and cooperative relationship with staff, students, faculty, co-workers, public and outside contractors.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Preferred Education/Experience:
  • B.S. or B.A. Degree.
  • Experience with western blotting and co-immunoprecipitation.
  • Experience with subcloning.
  • Experience with cell culture.
    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
  • Knowledge of UC Davis safety regulations, reporting requirements, and record keeping.
