What you get to do in this role

Identify and explore highly complex customer problems across the product and inform the product development lifecycle from discovery through concept validation, adoption, and use.

Prioritize and drive research projects to improve user experience and design.

Design, program, and analyze large scale advanced surveys end-to-end autonomously while engaging stakeholders in the process.

Analyze and model big user data using SQL, Python, and/or R.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Design, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams by using data to drive product decisions and processes.

Define and measure quantitative UX goals and metrics in collaboration with Designers, Qualitative Researchers, Data Scientists, Engineers, and Product Managers.

Build data visualizations and dashboards to help partners understand the "So What" of your analysis (e,g., Tableau, Matplotlib, and Seaborn).

Examine existing data and product designs to generate hypotheses and identify opportunities for high-impact research.

Communicate findings to expert and non-expert stakeholders in a convincible and actionable manner.

Provide direction, vision, and leadership for large collaborative efforts.

Champion the quant research discipline by developing quant research standards, training other Researchers, and providing mentorship to other members of the team.

What you have

Basic Qualifications (The must have):

BA/BS degree or higher in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Human Factors, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience conducting quantitative research methods and data analytics to launch products

Preferred Qualifications (The nice to have):

7+ years' of work experience applying and conducting customer-centered and/or enterprise research

Advanced degree

Strong end-to-end survey science experience (designing, programming, fielding, analyzing, and reporting)

Proficiency in developing statistical models to understand and interpret user experience

Advanced training and skills in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or another highly quantitative field

Expertise in descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistics, including experimental design, hypothesis testing, and regression modeling.

Experience shipping code into production

Experience using statistical techniques to analyze large and diverse datasets, including exploring large-scale behavioral data such as drop-off points, and conducting A/B tests to optimize user experiences

Background in advanced statistical modeling (e.g., GLM, Bayesian models) and/or machine learning

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $155,600 - $272,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs (subject to eligibility requirements). Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
