The Central Business Office has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Senior Manager, Medical Billing and Collections to work Remote. The Senior Manager, Medical Billing and Collections works in conjunction with upper management to develop and implement policies and procedures to reduce inefficiencies and maximize revenue by improving the medical billing and collection functions of the department.

  • Oversees, evaluates, trains, and counsels' supervisors and staff responsible for billing and collections.

  • Completes yearly performance evaluations and prepares annual staffing plan.

  • Ensures compliance with local, state, national regulations, and University policies.

  • Establishes and implements a system for the collection of delinquent accounts.

  • Analyzes management reports and prepares summary of departmental performance.

  • Reviews and processes billing adjustments, refunds, transfers, and returned checks.

  • Reviews departmental suspense account and makes necessary transfers.

  • Conducts audits of problem accounts and resolves any problems.

  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Knowledge of business and management principles

  • Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.

  • Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.

  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.

  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.

Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
