The department of Facilities has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time, Manager, Facilities & Operations to work at UHealth. The Senior Manager, Facilities & Operations administers leadership for various projects, programs, and assigned departments. More specifically, the incumbent oversees maintenance mechanics, contractors, and other service personnel to ensure the high-quality conditions of assigned facilities.

  • Acts as the chief consultant to satellite practices and leased facilities for continuous and ongoing compliance with the Center of Medicare & Medicaid Services Conditions of Participation.

  • Compiles and analyzes documentation for CMS, TJC, NFPA, AHCA, AAAHC, and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction of (4) Hospitals, (14) Health Care facilities, (3) Ambulatory Surgical Centers, (25) Research facilities, and (130+) Non-Hospital Based clinics.

  • Examines and verifies fire and life safety testing methodologies by contractors to identify risk and suitability of deliverables as associated with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) compliance.

  • Conducts enterprise-wide system of information collection and evaluation in order to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement within the UHealth enterprise.

  • Disseminates potential items of non-compliance vulnerability and risk; Assists facilities operations managers in developing and implementing corrective action plans for resolution of systemic issues.

  • Collaborates in developing annual goals and objectives related to supporting the growth and development of the Fire Safety and Life Safety Programs for the UHealth enterprise.

  • Develops and implements consistent standard operating procedures that guide and support functions of the Environment of Care, Life Safety and Fire Safety, Critical Care systems initiatives of the UHealth System.

  • Communicates with key UHealth leaders through participation on UHealth System committees.

  • Acts as UHealth enterprise point of contact for Life Safety Inspections conducted by AHJ.

  • Produces the executive framework in conjunction with the Director of Continuity and Compliance, that that provides best practices and systematic approaches to respond to and/or mitigate risks or crisis and business disruption events.

  • Participates in the continuous process of assessment of the UHealth enterprise to the Life Safety Code.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
