Position Summary:

The academic programs that the Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing offers include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science, a Master of Science in Nursing Science, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing Science.


 


Under the general supervision of the Director of Finance, provides oversight of the creation, forecasting, and management of unit and program budgets including faculty intramural and discretionary accounts, gifts, foundation accounts, endowment income, financial reporting, and chart of accounts maintenance. Monitors expenditures, processes financial transfers, deposits, recharges, intercampus transfers, and error corrections. Apprises Finance Director of areas of concern. Contributes to new degree program development, strategic planning, and assists with fiscal closing procedures. Provides oversight and support of procurement and reimbursement process for the school including travel and entertainment reimbursements, PALCard reconciliation, purchase orders, vendor onboarding, and related contracts and agreements. Serves as fiscal officer for assigned faculty, program, and school accounts. Oversees UROP, CORCL, and ad hoc program expense tracking. Provides training and updates on financial policies and procedures to faculty and staff. Reviews and reconciles general and payroll ledgers and assists with funding changes and submission of payroll corrections into Service-Now (salary cost transfers/direct retros).

$73,900.00 - $133,700.00 (Annual Salary) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $73,900.00 - $103,800.00 (Annual Salary)

Required:
 
  • Minimum of 3 years of finance related experience for this position
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Thorough knowledge of finance policies, practices, and systems. 
  • Ability to independently gather required information to organize, and perform financial analysis assignments. 
  • Proven ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. 
  • Proven ability using spreadsheet and database software for complex financial analysis, fiscal management, and financial reports. 
  • Proven interpersonal skills with peers throughout the organization; strong service orientation and critical thinking skills; and attention to detail. 
  • Proven ability using organizational skills to multi-task in a high volume environment. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to function as a member of a team. 
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
