Job Description

This is a senior-level administrative position in Academic Alliances overseeing data management and integration, including developing the MyPath2ASU and transfer dashboard and reports (e.g., performance metrics, monthly reports, and conversion rate) to ensure ASU colleges and leadership have access to information on over 31,000 active pathway learners. This role leads internal engagement and collaboration across the university, including ASU colleges, AccessASU, Enterprise Technology, and EdPlus, in analyzing transfer and pathway trends and developing shared strategies to support pathway growth and increase student applications. Additionally, the role involves conducting research analysis and evaluation on transfer trends and pathway performance, including the analytical framework of our pathway conversion rate initiative aimed at increasing the share of pathway students at the institution.

This is an in-person position located on ASU’s Tempe Campus the opportunity for remote work (up to 2 days a week).

Salary Range

$98,000 - $100,150 per year; DOE


Essential Duties

  • Serve on the Vice Provost of Academic Alliances leadership team (cabinet).
  • Strategize and prioritize Academic Alliances’ data analytics and pathway conversion efforts.
  • Train, develop, and monitor the work of a data analyst and project manager.
  • Lead the internal engagement with the ASU colleges in strategic planning and performance monitoring of pathway sign-ups and enrollment.
  • Create goals, best practices, and outreach initiatives that support the ASU Colleges in their pathway and transfer enrollment efforts.
  • Oversee ad hoc data and reporting requests that support the Vice Provost and leadership in expanding pathway and transfer growth and culture at the institution.
  • Summarize and present complex reports to various stakeholders related to pathway sign-up, transfer enrollment, and industry trends.
  • Oversee the development and dissemination of enrollment projections for pathway sign-ups and enrollment by ASU College (for both immersion and online).
  • In collaboration with the Vice Provost’s leadership team, lead efforts to explore the impact that pathway, transfer students, and initiatives have on overall student success.
  • Serve as the principal resource for multiple Academic Alliances’ projects and initiatives to support pathway innovation and technology development.
  • Represent Academic Alliances by serving on various college and university committees focused on pathways, data analysis, and transfer student success.
  • Manage Academic Alliances analytics site by maintaining existing and developing new content including self-service reporting tools used by various stakeholders internally and externally.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field AND ten (10) years of related experience which includes five (5) years of management/supervisory experience; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

  • Experience in applying analytical frameworks to answer complex questions related to course enrollment planning and student success initiatives.
  • Experience presenting data reports, dashboards, and analyses to a diverse set of audiences.
  • Knowledge of programs and systems utilized in higher education settings such as course scheduling platforms, curriculum management tools, and student information systems.
  • Familiarity or experience with ASU’s data repositories and national higher education data reporting systems (for example, IPEDS and other NCES resources).

Working Environment

Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work. Occasional bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 25 pounds. Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions. Drives University vehicle and/or cart to campus site.
