Position Highlights As a member of the Registration, Residency & Transcripts team, the Sr. Coordinator will oversee processes for general petitions, tuition appeals, and grade appeals as well as grading and elevated enrollment transactions. The person in this role will be responsible for evaluating and improving existing processes in order to create efficiencies and reduce administrative barriers. The scope of the position will allow an individual to make independent decisions for the area and to provide strategic direction for enrollment, grading, and petitions/appeals.

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the academic record. Serving all students, faculty, academic units, and student support functions; the Office is charged with the implementation of academic and student policies and their alignment to state and federal regulations and accreditation standards. The Office strives to be a leader and thought partner in creating efficient processes that are designed in a way that supports student success and service excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Student Services area including resolving escalated situations, troubleshooting requests within the office and the greater campus community, ensuring appropriate coverage for service areas, and setting professional expectations for team.
  • Oversee transcript services and creation of academic documents including daily processing, vendor relations, and outward facing communication.
  • Provide analysis and feedback for improved business processes and policy revisions and recommendations in order to create efficiencies and to improve service to the campus community.
  • Lead team of student workers by providing ongoing training and professional development.
  • Supervise and support Academic Records Specialists.
  • Support front-line service for Registration and student services.
  • Evaluate student records for exception and adherence to university policy and other related academic scenarios.
  • Resolve complex enrollment and student record issues with academic and student service departments.
  • Contribute to projects and initiatives to create equitable and consistent experiences for students.
  • Assist with process/system improvements for UAccess Student and Trellis
  • Manage academic grading and support for Instructor Center and faculty grade submission

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
