ROLE of the POSITION

The Sports Innovation Program Manager will play an integral role in all strategic initiatives, projects/programs, community partnerships, and engagement activities, project research and coordination of the Sports Innovation Pillars - the initial areas of focus in order to communicate UNLV's impact and capabilities within sports business, sports performance, and sports data analytics. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing all USI related marketing and content creation, including website oversight, facilitating social media strategy, newsletter creation, and content distribution. This position will assist in supporting new US initiatives and programs including, but not limited to assisting with the creation of presentation materials, USI program outreach to the community, and meeting and event coordination. The Program Manager will assist the Director of Business Development with fundraising and revenue generating efforts to support the continuation of the USI program. The Program Manager will support any new initiatives that may arise, and assist with reporting and grant funding requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 3-5 years related experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working on a team and coordinating multiple parties    
  • Experience managing budgets and multiple funding sources
  • Experience navigating external constituent relationship management systems/databases
  • Background in website creation and editing
  • Involvement in event planning and facilitation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with faculty and administration in higher education
  • Experience working with grants, federal awards, and other funding sources
  • Deep understanding of sport related research and innovation
  • Sport research experience; research lab experience in a sport related field
