The Georgia State University/Georgia Institute of Technology/Emory University Center for Translational Research in Neuroimaging and Data Science (TReNDS) is focused on developing advanced analytic approaches and neuroinformatics tools that leverage brain imaging data, with a goal of translating these approaches into biomarkers that help solve issues related to brain health and disease. Large-scale data sharing and multimodal data fusion techniques are the underpinnings of our approach. We develop state-of-the-art signal processing and web-based solutions to further this goal.
Georgia State University’s Center for Translational Research in Neuroimaging and Data Science (TReNDS) is looking for a Research Assistant to join our lab! TReNDS consists of researchers from various fields and backgrounds including neuroimaging, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, genetics, math, and statistics. MIA researchers use their expertise to develop novel analysis methods and tools to better understand and predict brain function and behavior.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
Under the guidance of Principal Investigators, the Research Assistant (RA) will support various human subjects research studies for the lab. They will assist in conducting interviews, administering tasks and questionnaires, and performing associated administrative duties. The studies will use fMRI, MRS, neuromodulation, etc. to investigate aims related to brain research.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with data collection from subjects for research projects and grants. Assists with human subject's related data compliance and security of research and grant's/project's data.
- Assists with clerical and administrative aspects of project’s/grant’s protocol development and IRB compliance.
- Use and maintain lab equipment.
- Assists with data analysis, writing and editing publications, conferences and presentations.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
:
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; or high school diploma or GED and four years of related research experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess: a Bachelor's or higher degree; at least 2 years experience working in an academic research setting; at least 2 years of office administration experience; experience in scientific writing and editing, and data management.
