Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | The University of South Carolina, Brain Health Network is looking for a Speech Pathologist to work in the Orangeburg, South Carolina location.Under indirect supervision, works closely with medical providers and primary care teams to provide cognitive assessment and care coordination for patient experience cognitive issues. |

Required Education and Experience | A master’s degree in speech pathology or communication science disorders from an accredited college or university and experience in providing skilled speech pathology services. Must be licensed by the South Carolina Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology. |
Preferred Qualifications | Prefer at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. |
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | Knowledge of approved principles, procedures, techniques, and instrumentation used in the individual and group treatment of speech, language, and cognitive disorders. Knowledge of classifications, causes, and manifestations of speech, language, and cognitive disorders. Knowledge of the principles of psychology and education related to teaching individuals with cognitive impairments. Ability to operate equipment and to interpret test results. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, their families, and other staff members. Ability to travel to regional practice sites and other outreach destinations. |
