Job Summary/Basic Function:	Brazosport College, a two-time Top 10 finalist for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence and Achieving the Dream Leader College, seeks a dynamic and innovative individual to join its Speech Program. Job duties include but are not limited to: Reporting to the Division Chair of Communication and Fine Arts, this Speech faculty member will support student success by preparing curriculum, including writing syllabi, developing new courses, selecting textbooks, etc.; developing and teaching Speech classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods; teaching on campus and at offsite locations, including local high schools; assisting in the advisement of students; serving on various assigned college committees; Excellent fringe benefits accrue with full-time position.
Physical Demands:	Able to traverse campus and classrooms; able to see, hear, and talk; able to drive to off-campus locations.
Minimum Qualifications:	Master’s Degree in Speech or Communication/or a master’s degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate hours in Speech from a regionally accredited college or university; teaching experience at the community college level desirable; interest in alternative instructional delivery methods; demonstrated ability in working with culturally diverse populations; excellent written and oral communication skills; other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution; exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credentials are met;
