Position Summary:
Produces mammographic examinations of the breast to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
Provides procedure explanations prior to exam and provide clear explanations during examination.
Ensures that patient understands by using language appropriate to the patient/demonstration/and other teaching methods.
Technologists are responsible for performing screening and diagnostic exams under direct supervision.
Responsible for providing coverage for technologists in all 4 breast imaging locations: main campus, mobile unit, Northshore Town Center and Halls Breast Center.
Position Qualification:
Maintains current RT(R)(M), licensure.
Maintains documentation of internal and external CME activities.
Maintains documentation of current BLS status.
6 months - 1 year experience required.
