Sonographer - Part Time - OBGYN

Position Description:
Work Schedule: Part Time, Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Work Location: OBGYN Clinic, The Women and Infants Center

Under the direction of the ultrasound imaging manager and attending radiologist, to provide professional diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound for the use and interpretation of ultrasound exams and procedures.


Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED required.

LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Two routes are accepted:
1) ARDMS: currently registered as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or a student/new graduate eligible to sit for exam with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). ARDMS abdomen or OB/GYN registry required within 12 months of hire into classification.
2) ARRT: currently registered as a Registered Technologist (R.T.) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Advanced certification in Sonography (R.T.(S)) required within 12 months of hire into classification.

Preferred: OB-GYN registered at the time of employment; or must obtain OB-GYN registry status within six months of hire date.
