Position Responsibilities
Position Summary | The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and University of Idaho Extension invites applications for the role of Soil Stewards Farm Manager for a 4-month, seasonal appointment. This position is pivotal to the operation, management, and success of the 3-acre Soil Stewards Farm, a beacon of sustainable, regenerative, and organic agricultural practices located at the edge of the UI Moscow campus. Our farm not only produces high-quality organic food for Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs but also serves as a vital educational and research hub, supporting the Soil Steward Club’s efforts in food production and marketing, alongside facilitating research and extension activities. |

Position Qualifications
Required Qualifications | - Demonstrated experience in organic farming, sustainable agriculture, or a related field. - Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. - Commitment to sustainability, education, and community engagement. |

Preferred Qualifications | - Experience in safely operating small farm machinery and implements. - Demonstrated ability to manage, inspire, and work collaboratively with diverse groups. - Relevant academic background (degree in agriculture, environmental science, or related field). |
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions | - Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move 50 lbs - Ability to work long hours outdoors in all types of weather (sun, heat, cold, precipitation) |
