The Software Testing Lead is responsible for testing/coordinating testing efforts, analyzing, and ensuring the quality of applications, products, and systems. The analyst is also responsible to ensure that the final product meets specified standards and fulfills user requirements. The QA Test Lead III is also responsible for providing Tier 1 & 2 level support for Oracle PeopleSoft Financials (FMS), Planning Budgeting Cloud Solution (PBCS), WebFOCUS (HARP), Huron Grants Management, and Jaggaer (Marketplace).


Responsibilities
  • Test Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive test plans that outline the testing approach, resources, schedule, and deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, end users and vendors, to understand project requirements and define testing strategies.
  • Test Case Design and Execution: Create detailed test cases based on functional and technical specifications to thoroughly evaluate application functionality. Execute manual and automated tests to identify defects, ensuring that all aspects of the product are thoroughly evaluated.
  • Defect Identification and Documentation: Identify, document, and prioritize defects or issues found during testing. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of identified defects.
  • Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase testing efficiency and coverage. Execute automated test suites as part of the overall testing process.
  • Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Communicate testing progress, results, and potential risks to project stakeholders. Collaborate with development teams to understand system architecture and technical aspects that may impact testing.
  • Performance Testing (when needed): Conduct performance testing to assess the scalability, responsiveness, and stability of software applications under different conditions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies. Stay abreast of industry best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance testing capabilities.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure that software products adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational quality standards.
  • User Experience Testing: Collaborate with end users to plan and execute UA tests. Evaluate software from the end-user perspective, ensuring a positive and seamless user experience.
  • Resolution or escalation to various specialized analysts during support hours (8am-5pmPST)
  • Managing and resolving tickets within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Serve as a liaison between FMIS, end users, and technical support teams.
  • Own the "life cycle" of an issue from identification/logging, research, workaround/fix and communication with end user.
  • Ask questions to determine nature of problem and walk customer through problem-solving process.
  • Maintain system documentation.
  • Provide support for projects and Finance initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years of experience testing computer systems an using requirements-based testing.
  • Demonstrated experience with computer system validation, test automation frameworks and tools, and querying database systems.
  • Proficient in at least one modern scripting language.
  • Direct experience developing system testing methods, processes, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Highly developed attention to detail.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated passion for customer service.
  • Customer support experience.
  • Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF).
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Assist with training and coaching of other team members and/or user groups.
  • Dedicated team-member.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

The annual base salary range for this position is from $94,702 to $149,656, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
