Position Summary
This position will entail direction of numerous industry sponsored clinical trials and other research projects at the Thurston Arthritis Research Center. Key aspects of the position will include communication and coordination with industry sponsors, research organizations and other sites as necessary. The successful candidate will be responsible for IRB submissions, contract negotiations, and all regulatory documentation as well as patient recruitment, patient evaluations, and collection and management of all study data. The coordinator will coordinate and perform study specific regulatory processes across multiple studies of different therapeutic areas and phases, in accordance with appropriate regulations, Standard Operating Procedures, and study specific protocols. The Clinical Trials Study Coordinator will also participate in other clinical research activities as necessary at the Thurston Arthritis Research Center. This position also involves collection of data for a patient registry and maintenance of the registry along with data entry.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy; ability to function independently and in a team setting; strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with a diverse set of people, and excellent written/verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience working with human subjects in a clinical research setting.
