Position Summary | This position will serve as an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator within the Multisystems Stress Response in Adolescents Research Project, which is a multidisciplinary psychiatry research project focused on examining neurobiological and physiological signatures of stress response profiles that contribute to anhedonia in adolescents. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator assists with the development and execution of study protocols/study coordination, including screening and recruiting study participants, conducting study visits, and collecting, entering, and reviewing study data. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator also assists with the preparation and submission of regulatory documents, including Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, amendments, and adverse event reporting, the training and education of research staff/interns, and other coordination aspects of a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical research study. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will also work closely with the study data manager to prepare the project database in Redcap for the acquisition and archiving of data to meet NIH data sharing plan requirements. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Demonstrated strong project organization skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Redcap, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word. Prior experience assisting in the development of IRB applications and other regulatory documents, familiarity with diagnostic criteria for anxiety disorders (DSM-5 or ICD-11), and experience using standardized assessment tools. Demonstrated previous experience working with adolescents in a healthcare or research setting is required. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Previous experience as a clinical research coordinator or similar role in a research or healthcare setting, preferably in the field of psychiatry, adolescent mental health, or substance abuse research, is preferred. |
