Position Summary | This position is for an experienced research coordinator who will be responsible for the planning, organization, and conduct of multiple clinical research study protocols, including independently collecting and recording data, project administration, and communication with various stakeholders.. This person will assist with the implementation of Maternal Fetal Medicine Units Network trials. Studies will take place at UNC Hospital and affiliated outpatient clinics and the position will be based at UNC. Primary duties will be screening, recruiting, and enrolling research participants. Other duties may include: * conducting participant interviews, either in person or via phone for enrollment information, follow up data, schedule follow up appointments for women and their children * electronic medical record screening and data abstractions * data entry, data quality checks, assisting with data cleaning and quality assurance * assisting with creation of study materials * generating new data and information * editing and formatting reports * project administrative duties include participant tracking and compensation for study subjects. * Manage incoming phone calls and other communications, scheduling patients’ appointments, updating documents/regulatory binders, maintaining supply inventory, and other tasks as defined by the supervisor. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements | Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | The candidate should be experienced in communicating with study subjects and medical professionals. Selected candidate must have excellent communication both verbal and written as well as the ability to work with others in a professional matter. Candidate should have experience with Microsoft office products. Travel to clinical sites is required |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience | Experience in a clinical setting preferred. |
