Department Summary
The HSC Regional Simulation Center provides transformative learning experiences through the implementation of multi-faceted and immersive training models designed to build and reinforce procedural skills, clinical decision making , teamwork, and effective communication. The center utilizes task trainers, manikin-based simulation, standardized-patient simulation, and virtual reality scenarios to provide objective-driven experiential learning experiences for students and community healthcare partners. Staff include experienced simulationists who use standards of best practice to guide curriculum development, faculty development, technical support and logistics. 
Position Overview
The Administrative Specialist will add support for the Simulation Department to include but not limited to the following: interaction with multiple departments and stakeholders to provide operational support for simulation courses, serving as the first point of contact for simulation center inquiries, managing simulation center logistics, schedule and quality metrics, coordinates with simulation center staff to ensure supplies are ordered, and general office duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Simulation iQ preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology. Experience supporting simulation center operations. A flexible schedule outside of routine business hours may occasionally be required.
Required License / Registration / Certification
Work Schedule
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with occasional events on evenings and weekends.
Driving University Vehicle No

Schedule simulation center activities

Create financial reports and maintain center metrics

Requisitions/Purchasing for capital and non capital supplies

Supports departmental projects by interacting with multiple departments and stakeholders in order to meet project timelines and objectives..

Assists with preparation and set-up for simulation activities

General office duties

Other duties as assigned
