The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Shuttle Driver I on the Dahlonega campus. This position is in the of Office of Parking & Transportation Services, a division of Auxiliary Services, and reports to the Transportation Supervisor on the Dahlonega Campus Performs the duties of a shuttle bus driver for the University of North Georgia. Drives students, faculty, and staff in a safe and effective manner to on and off campus sites, for events and or athletics events. Provides courteous and friendly service to customers. This position requires flexible hours to assist with events on campus to include driving shuttle, directing traffic (flagging) guest in or out of parking lots and or decks. Periodic evening and weekend trips to transport UNG to in state and out-of-state venues. Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent; Must be at least 18 years of age; have valid Georgia driver's license with an exceptional driving record.

  • Driving shuttle vehicle to transport students from loading site(s) off main campus to designated locations on campus.
  • During times not driving vehicles, will work in Parking Services as directed by Parking Manager.
  • Responsible for making sure vehicles are clean and in good working condition before transporting passengers.
  • Making sure that all safety rules and regulations for transporting passengers are adhered to at all times during transportation.
  • Perform miscellaneous job - related duties assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Customer service oriented.
  • Good communication skills. 
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Minimum starting salary: $14.76 per hour
