SHP Research Collaborative Participant Engagement Coordinator

General Responsibility

To serve as a participant engagement coordinator for the Movement-to-Music (M2M) study funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) as well as other projects under the SHP Research Collaborative. To manage the day-to-day activities of participant enrollment and communication within the M2M team and across the Research Collaborative. To assist with development and implementation of participant recruitment, enrollment, and engagement procedures, maintain records, track enrollment progress, and perform data quality assurance. The position will also consist of intervention monitoring and data entry as assigned.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as the SHP Research Collaborative participant engagement coordinator and manages day-to-day activities of participant enrollment and communication.

  • Assists with procedure development and implementation for participant recruitment, enrollment, and engagement as well as ensures continued improvement of the procedural efficiency.

  • Works with team members of each project and employs strategies to ensure achievement of participant enrollment milestones.

  • Works with the project investigators, coordinator, and research assistants of each study to coordinate participant scheduling (e.g., testing schedule, class schedule, equipment shipping).

  • Assist with intervention monitoring and provide technical assistance to participants joining the classes.

  • Ensures data are entered according to the protocol and performs data quality assurance.

  • Monitors study inventory and request purchases of testing/study equipment based on needs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Salary Range: $20.80 - $30.40



    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Communication and teamwork skills.
    • Project and research coordination.

    • Experience with research study protocol development and implementation.

    • Experience with participant recruitment and engagement.
    • Lived experience or interest in disability.
