Summary of Duties:

The Service-learning Coordinator collaborates with faculty and instructors to
design, implement, and assess service-learning courses in keeping with national standards and best practices. The coordinator provides consultation, technological support, and community connections to support curriculum development, student-faculty-community engagement, and development of service-learning opportunities appropriate for academic learning outcomes.
Required Qualifications:

  • Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.

  • Demonstrated teaching/training/facilitation experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with Windows/Microsoft Office applications, web-based communication, and database management.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree.

  • Three years of community engagement experience in higher education or community-based agency.

  • Experience with complex project logistics and facilitation.

  • Knowledge of local community organizations, social issues, and civic engagement.

  • Experience in program and/or outcomes assessment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to practices of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of campus and community partners.

Monthly Salary:

$4,061.90 - $5,077.36 | Commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
