ABOUT THE CSU SPUR CAMPUS AT THE NATIONAL WESTERN CENTER: The Spur campus is a project of the CSU System, which is comprised of three campuses: CSU in Fort Collins, CSU Pueblo, and CSU Global. In conjunction with its partners, the CSU System has three buildings focused on water, food and agriculture, animal health, and sustainability at Spur at the National Western Center (NWC). Within the Spur buildings, CSU will conduct research and convene experts from around the globe; students of all ages will engage with science and have opportunities for exploratory learning, transforming their thinking about food, water, and health and the careers available in these fields; and partners will join in programming the space and bring evolving content to the year-round campus. The College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS) at Colorado State University fulfills our institution’s land-grant mission through its economic impact, cutting-edge research, and innovative education. The College offers undergraduate majors with different concentration options as well as graduate degree programs within the College and its five academic departments. The Food Innovation Center is a program that is administered and directed through the College of Agricultural Sciences. The Colorado Agricultural Experiment Station (AES) conducts research that addresses the economic viability, environmental sustainability, and social acceptability of activities impacting agriculture, natural resources, and consumers in Colorado. The Food Innovation Center supports and collaborates with the AES stations.

Position Summary
The sensory program support will be responsible for serving food and beverage samples for sensory testing, cooking and preparing samples for service, and maintaining sensory lab organization and cleanliness during study execution. Support personnel will also engage with panelists as needed and will be expected.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Cooking, preparing, labeling and serving samples for service while maintaining sensory lab organization and cleanliness during study execution
2. Engage with panelists as needed, maintaining professionalism and upholding CSU Spur Community Guidelines
3. Practicing a high level of organization and time management, all with a great attention to detail
4. Use in-house sensory software system, scan gun and Microsoft Excel
5. Maintain a clean & sanitary environment in the lab and sensory booth area
6. Use cleaning materials and dish washing equipment; perform all duties as related to keeping the sensory lab running in a clean & sanitary manner
7. Ability to take on tasks as assigned by Sensory Manager
Position Minimum Qualifications
BS in Food Science or related field
Experience using Microsoft office.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with supporting sensory testing.
