Job Summary

As part of the talent acquisition team at Purdue University, the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist supporting Purdue University Global (PG) will play a critical role in the executive search process through hands-on partnerships with leaders to identify high-quality talent.  The specialist is responsible for executing the full recruitment life cycle for faculty and professional staff positions.  This individual partners with university leaders to drive recruitment strategies in support of Purdue Global's key initiatives.

The talent acquisition team at Purdue University has a strong commitment to staying abreast of recruitment trends and serves as a brand ambassador.

  • Develop and maintain a trusted strategic partnership with hiring managers by utilizing recruitment strategies to conduct life cycle recruiting to attract top talent:sourcing, screening and interviewing.
  • Partner with the hiring manager and search committee (when required by the position) to establish a search timeline and provide guidance for the screening and interview processes.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to create robust pipelines, using available talent channels.
  • Participate in the development of recruitment plans that emphasize supporting and executing Purdue Global's diversity and inclusion initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with university leaders and applicants.
  • Ensure candidates have a positive experience and that key individuals are included in the interview and evaluation process for candidates
  • Conduct or participate in special projects and other HR initiatives, as needed, to meet PG's overall strategic goals and initiatives.

What we need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Sales or another related field
  • Five or more years of relevant experience in recruiting and sourcing in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, with a minimum of two years of experience recruiting executive level candidates.
  • Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of required education and related work experience
  • Detailed knowledge of internet sourcing and recruiting strategies and practices, with an emphasis on high-volume recruiting of candidates with diverse backgrounds
  • Advanced knowledge in passive sourcing approaches, tools, and technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
  • Effective multi-tasking and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple searches and deliver a high level of service to internal clients
  • Ability to work well independently in a remote setting, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality

What is Helpful:

  • Experience with adjunct faculty recruiting
