Summary of Position
As a staff member of the Carsey School Center for Impact Finance, the Senior Project Manager will work with Center leadership to identify, develop, promote, and carry out research, capacity building, and financial innovation activities. The Senior Project Manager will be expected to play a key role in helping the Center meet its goals of conducting rigorous and timely research, solving development finance institutions’ most challenging financial problems, and training and mentoring the next generation of development finance practitioners. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for project development, design, implementation, and management. Responsibilities will include raising funds and managing budgets, staff, contractors, and other stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager will report to the Director of the Center for Impact Finance.

Other minimum qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Community Development, Public Policy, Planning, Business, or a related field
  • 10-15 years’ work experience in community development finance or a related field
  • Leadership, management, and grant writing experience
  • Strong research, data, and financial analysis skills
  • Ability to analyze information and synthesize findings for decisions making, particularly related to community development finance
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Good organizational skills, detail orientation, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Commitment to the community development finance sector and the critical role of nonprofit organizations in driving social change
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead collaborative teams of staff, contractors, and partners
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, experience effectively managing multiple projects across different internal and external constituents to drive results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with co-workers and representatives from the non-profit, corporate, philanthropic, and public sectors, and with a diverse range of individuals and organizations.
  • Ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced and self-motivated environment in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the community development sector and the critical role of nonprofit organizations in driving social change
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with working in a university environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
