Creighton University is seeking to hire a Senior Program Coordinator.
This role supports the Department of Biomedical Sciences, specifically the department chair and administrator. Duties typically include assisting with graduate program administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, departmental communications and reporting.
This is a full-time, hourly paid position.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports the Chair of Biomedical Sciences Department.
- Coordinates and provides advanced administrative support of a specific program or program(s).
- Plans and coordinates the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of a specific program or program(s).
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 6 years' administrative and/or office management experience required
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency skills in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments;
- Management experience is a plus;
- Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events;
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
- Ability to lead and train staff and/or students;
- Basic knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting procedures;
- Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports;
- Ability to function effectively as a team member, while exercising independent and critical judgment;
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment

The Department of Biomedical Sciences within the School of Medicine is the universities largest biomedical research department housing the Bellucci Translational Hearing center and an NIH CoBRE (Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence) grant.
