Senior Payroll Services Coordinator - Finance

Position Description:
Schedule Monday-Friday Day Shift

Location: John Whitaker Building

Leads the technical, functional, and analytical support for employees and departments regarding the payroll related processing, operations, and systems to ensure timely, accurate computation and processing of payroll information.  Leads employees/departments with problems and communicates with technical support to resolve issues.   Also responsible for submitting Lawson and Kronos job requests with required parameters for all payrolls from the loading of non-exempt time to the production of checks and direct deposit file.  Ensures compliance with departmental, institutional, local, state and federal agency guidelines.  Assists, trains, provides manager feedback on work knowledge and gaps of payroll coordinator and customer specialist.  Serves as back-up and assists Payroll Manager in his/her absence or as needed.

Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and seven (7) years of payroll, human resource, finance, or related experience required.  

Preferred: Experience preferred with Lawson and Kronos software packages.
