Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | The Senior Faculty Specialist will work at the Methods and Application of Food Composition Laboratory coordinating an NIH-funded research program evaluating the ingredient content (through chemical analysis) and performance quality of dietary supplements. The Senior Faculty Specialist will lead a team studying the ingredient content and performance of dietary supplements for the Dietary Supplement Ingredient Database (DSID). The Senior Faculty Specialist will also coordinate research efforts with other USDA labs, academic labs, other federal agencies, and industry. This position requires the ability to manage technical personnel, to coordinate multiple project areas simultaneously, and to manage the annual budget. |
