Job Description

The Business Analyst will be a part of the Enterprise Business Solutions Delivery Support Team and will support continuous improvement of business processes by leading and performing cross functional solutions analysis, design, configuration, testing and implementation across the Workday business areas and integrating systems that support the business process.

In this role, the Business Analyst will collaborate with Business Enablement teams, end users, business sponsors and application teams outside of Workday to confirm business requirements, identify solutions that support the end-to-end business process and enhance business capabilities. The Business Analyst will maintain breadth of knowledge across multiple business processes and the applications that support the processes.

Under guidance from Delivery Support Team leadership, the Business Analyst contributes to the creation of deliverables of the highest quality and presents leading practice solutions for Ohio State. The Business Analyst will support the objectives of the Delivery Support team, document processes and requirements, perform system configuration, coordinate, plan and execute testing efforts, and use a variety of project management tools to track and report status and progress. The successful candidate is an excellent communicator, critical thinker, motivated with a positive attitude, and able to independently work on and balance priorities for multiple initiatives.

Required Education/Experience:


Minimum of 4 years’ experience in system implementation role(s) where responsible for business processes. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and tasks is required. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, peers, executive leadership, customers, vendors, technical team members and others. Demonstrated experience identifying and documenting business requirements, testing and implementation.


Bachelor’s degree in related field or combination of equivalent experience and education. Knowledge of HR business processes required.


Desired Education/Experience:

4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Experience with Workday configuration or administration. Experience with complex, large-scale ERP, preferably cloud ERP/specifically Workday. Background in higher education, and/or healthcare/academic medical center experience. PMP, CAPM, Lean/Six Sigma certifications preferred.

The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is79,000.00 to 105,500.00.
