The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Senior System Administrator - IT on the Gainesville campus. The Senior Application Administrator's mission is to configure, deploy, and support services and systems to provide innovative, flexible, dependable and effective University business applications. Supporting all ServiceNow modules currently in use as well as any future modules. Current ServiceNow modules including Incident, Request (Service Catalog), Knowledge Management, Project, Problem, Change, CMDB, Service Portal. Communication is key, as the administrator will work with departments within and outside of the Information Technology department. On occasion, must be able to work after regular business hours to support upgrades or issues, may include nights, weekends, or holidays.
- Design and implement workflow processes to meet business needs. Working with partners to gather specific requirements, documenting the requirements, the configuration, and testing.
- Performing day to day activities including updates requested for existing processes.
- Creation of clear and concise technical documentation for use by other Application Administrators as well as by users of the ServiceNow modules.
- Managing the workload of ServiceNow requests. Keeping documentation and customers updated on the progress of their requests.
- Training of Application Administrators.
- Manage the ServiceNow upgrade process: designing and documenting a testing process, testing, and scheduling of the upgrade. As well as supporting issues that may be introduced by an upgrade.
- Keep abreast of new features and best practices for ServiceNow.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Demonstratable knowledge of ServiceNow modules.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to work within groups or individually.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required.
- Three (3) years' experience as ServiceNow Administrator, supporting multiple modules within ServiceNow;
- Or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- ServiceNow System Administrator Certification preferred.
- ITIL certification preferred.
Standard Hiring Range: $73,155 - $80,471
