The Tepper School of Business is searching for a Senior Administrative Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing essential support and advanced administrative support for the team.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate the business aspects of the advancement team by supporting tasks such as - logistics support (calendaring, room reservations); supply ordering; catering arrangements/restaurant reservations; budget management and expense reports; organizing/making travel arrangements; researching event spaces; nametags; mail responsibility, etc.

  • Support the chief advancement officer

  • Provide assistance for a portfolio of projects/programs (existing or new, as assigned) that support alumni, future-alumni and special guest engagement including but not limited to:  Classroom speakers;  Club speakers;  Board volunteer meetings;

  • Provide assistance with data collection, data entry and other analytics requests to support Advancement team projects.

  • Facilitate project support in digital forms (e.g., spreadsheets, collaboration tools, web calendars, and provide program logistics assistance for programs that engage alumni, future alumni and special guests including but not limited to:  Corporate visits; WL Mellon Speaker Series; Special philanthropy days (i.e., Giving CMU Day, Thank a Donor Day); Reunion Weekend

  • Manage 1-2 work study students who will provide support such as front desk coverage, data entry, research, charts, etc.

  • Maintain the agenda for staff meeting through collecting topics each week and sharing out the agenda prior to the meeting.

  • Other administrative or project management duties, responsibilities and meeting participation as assigned in support of the Advancement Team

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma/GED required

  • 3-5 years of administrative support experience required someone

  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Additional Information:

  • Sponsorship: Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work for CMU in the United States. CMU will not sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity.

  • Typical Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday from 8:30-5:00pm. An alternate work schedule allowing for evening and weekend hours will be required on occasion.
