Key Responsibilities:
  • Observe, protect, patrol, and enforce safety regulations
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist visitors with directions and information
  • Control access, monitor ingress/egress, and secure venues
  • Handle keys, conduct walkthroughs, use radio communication, answer phones, monitor CCTV, and complete paperwork
  • Report unusual circumstances and respond to emergencies
  • Attend mandatory training sessions
  • Stay informed about campus events to assist guests


Primary Location:
  • Location: East and Main entrance gates, with training for other campus areas including Hesburgh Library, Main Building, Basilica, Snite Museum, and Raclin Murphy Museum of Art

Requirements:
  • Availability to work up to 900 hours per year

Minimum Qualifications
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills are required.
  • Security monitors working at entrance gates cover shifts including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, on weekdays and weekends.
  • Availability to work home football game Saturdays, as well as Easter and Christmas holidays, is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and/or retail background is preferred.
