Job Description Summary	The University of South Alabama’s department of Music is seeking to hire a Secretary V. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.

Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions	Oversees and is involved in all aspects of budget maintenance for the department to include purchasing, word processing and bookkeeping. Assists faculty/students with reports, classes, performance needs, travel, contracting, etc. Assists with information for fundraising, recruiting, scholarships, Musical Arts Society and alumni. Maintains all departmental correspondence and meeting records. Maintains all academic and faculty files. Serves as LPAC maintenance coordinator. Assists with advising, class schedules, registration, and Banner. Maintains department statistics for Higher Education Data Service (National Association of School of Music) and University assessment. Distributes and records equipment to faculty. Corresponds with University personnel, prospective students, visitors and the community regarding the Department of Music. Assists with supervising student workers. Regular and prompt attendance. Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required. Related duties as required.
