The SCUBA Instructor/Assistant is responsible for assists classes, which includes all aspects of SCUBA instruction and certification.

What you need to know

Salary: $20/Hourly

Position Details: Frequent lifting or moving of equipment. Exposure to loud music. 

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • No experience required

Required Licenses and Certifications:

  • Currently certified as a SCUBA instructor and as an Emergency First Response instructor

  • Complete training provided by the Aquatics Coordinator within 3 months of employment

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

  • Demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to work at a high level demonstrating professionalism while working within the well-established and highly regarded SCUBA program

  • Ability to work with all ages of students with varying abilities

  • Theoretical and practical knowledge of SCUBA equipment and its’ maintenance

 

Responsibilities:

  • SCUBA Training - Works both independently and in conjunction with supervising SCUBA instructors. Assists classes, which includes all aspects of SCUBA instruction and certification.
