Job Summary
The Sanders-Brown Center on Aging is seeking a senior, experienced scientist to lead the research projects extramurally-funded in the Wang Lab. This position requires strong experience in biochemistry & molecular biology, cell culture and transfection, and microRNA biology. The position requires a high level of independence in running complex experiments, analyzing data, and concluding projects.
The candidate at this position will be required in assisting PI/lab manager in following activities: general lab management and upkeep, staff and student training, ensuring a Good Laboratory Practice, and in compliance with UK and governmental laboratory, animal welfare, and environmental safety standards and regulations. The position will also involve in manuscript preparation and writing grant applications. Development of independent grants is expected.
