Job Summary:


The Scientist III will conduct translational research in the Department of Urology.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
1) performing research projects using prostate cancer cell models, patient derived xenografts and patient biopsies to explore biomarkers and develop anti-cancer drugs for prostate cancers;
2) facilitate writing of research grant and scientific papers;
3) providing training to technicians, postdocs and graduate students;
4) managing routine activities of research labs and facilitate communications.

Skills /Knowledge/Abilities:


Tissue culture, CRISPR, Molecular cloning, mutagenesis, Immunoblotting, real-time PCR, co-IP, ChIP, ChIP-seq, APEX labeling and Mass Spectrometry, RNA/DNA in situ hybridization, microscopy (inverted and confocal), Drug screen; excellent oral & written communication, technical communications; Microsoft Office Suite, statistical software (e.g., GraphPad, R, SAS, etc.), Adobe photoshop and illustrator;

Preferred Education/Experience:


A minimum of Masters of Science in biology, chemistry, physics, or related fields. At least 10 years of experience in prostate cancer research.
