The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of  Ped - Neonatology, is seeking a Scientist I (PART-TIME).

General Responsibilities

  • To employ a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in a particular field of specialization. 
  • To plan, coordinate and conduct research.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities  

 

  • Collects, analyzes and interprets data.
  • Prepares statistical and narrative reports and/or graphs.
  • Supervises and/or performs equipment maintenance, operations, and quality control procedures.
  • Maintains stocked, serviceable, and laboratory.
  • Place orders as instructed for supplies.
  • Reconciles invoices and goods received.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable safety regulations.
  • Maintains all records and forms.
  • Disposes of biohazardous.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Hourly Salary Range   $30.35 - $49.86

     

    Qualifications

     
    • Doctor of Philosophy, D.V.M. or M.D. degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience  
    • OR  M.D. and Master's degree.  
    • OR  Master's degree and four (4) years of related experience  
    • OR  Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of related experience 

    Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
