Job Summary:

Huckleberry Youth Programs (HYP), an off-campus partner of USF is looking for a new Salesforce Data Associate position is to provide us with the capacity to capture all client and program data in our custom Salesforce database.
HYP is a non-profit serving San Francisco and Marin youth through a variety of programming (see more info at huckleberryyouth.org). Our agency relies on data both for day to day operations in effectively serving clients and for reporting our impact to funders, government agencies and the community. Having complete and accurate data is a critical piece of tracking client outcomes, evaluating our programs, demonstrating our impact and highlighting the need for investment in our agency and specific areas in our community. The Salesforce Data Associate supports our health centers and sexual education programs and our Research and Evaluation Department.

Full Job Description:

NOTE: This role is open ONLY to work-study students who can use their federal award money for summer 2024 (must be enrolled full time for fall 2024). The position continues throughout the year and hours will be allocated such that the award money can last through the end of academic year 2023-2024.

Primary Responsibilities: The Salesforce Data Associate’s primary responsibility is to enter data that we have on paper and in electronic documents into our custom Salesforce database. As the student enters data, they are expected to review the data and consult with other staff to ensure that what is entered into the system is complete and accurate. The student is encouraged to design their own organizational systems as is conducive to their work style to keep track of what has been done, what needs to be done, where information lives, and who needs to be contacted for coordination.

The student will receive HIPAA compliance training and training on Salesforce, GSuite and any other systems necessary to perform the job duties. They will gain experience working with Salesforce, one of the most widely adopted CRMs used across industries including social services, marketing and sales, and healthcare as well as other tools for collecting and organizing data.

Schedule: Self-defined schedule with hours that may vary throughout the school year as the amount of work fluctuates. Position can be fully remote but has the option to be onsite at our health center in the Haight during business hours.

The best candidate for this job will work well independently, problem solve, be able to manage their own schedule, organize their work such that they can keep track of and communicate their progress, and proactively reach out and communicate with other staff when they need support. There is a very large amount of data to be entered and it can be very repetitive, but it is important that the student be able to maintain focus and be careful to enter the information completely and accurately and to use judgement when issues with the data arise.

  • Typing and computer proficiency, including speed and accuracy

Optional/Ideal Qualifications: Experience with Salesforce, Google Sheets, Excel; Ability to read Spanish
