This role will have a hybrid schedule. While it will allow for remote work, the person hired will need to periodically work in-person on the St. Paul campus.

JOB SUMMARY

The CRM Administrator is responsible for supporting, administering and implementing changes to the Enterprise Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform.  This position plays a business analysis, technical advisor, technical support, planning and operational role in customizing and administering Salesforce and related AppExchange components with the express purpose of delivering on the goals and objectives of stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.     CRM Operational

·  Customize, administer, and implement changes on Salesforce and related AppExchange components.

·  Assist with systems administration, including user access and permissions, configuration, and other administrative processes.

·  Create and manage custom objects, fields, formulas, validation rules, and flows in accordance with our enterprise governance process.

·  Log and track identified system problems through resolution and provide day-to-day support, training, and troubleshooting for Salesforce CRM support cases. 

·  In partnership with our Data, Analytics and CRM teams encourage opportunities for knowledge transfer and transparency through documentation, knowledge base articles, use of Data Catalog, Jira, and ticketing. Contribute to the university data catalog and expand metadata for university ecosystem.

·  Collaborate with Security Team to maintain, set, and teach CRM and data security policy as well as manage CRM storage, data lifecycle and back-up operations.

·  Design, document, build, test and deploy enhancements.

 

2.     Business Systems Analysis

·  Keep current with new Salesforce features and functionality and provide recommendations for process improvements.

·  Identify and mitigate risks in process, data, and technology.

·  Establish and maintain system KPI to evaluate the overall maturity, adoption, and health of our CRM ecosystem.

·  Analyze complex requirements and apply technical expertise and creative problem-solving techniques.

·  Participate in evaluation of requests, project planning, formulating objectives, and estimating tasks and scope.

 

3.    Testing: 

·  Develop documentation and training materials for user testing, functional testing, and end-to-end testing.

·  Assist with creating accurate and complete test plans, developing test cases and coordinating User Acceptance Testing.

·  Ensure testing issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner.

· Follow dev ops process for development, testing, and deployment between Salesforce environments.

 

4.    Administrative and Internal Procedures

·  Serve as a resource and backup for other members of the office, contribute to ongoing team initiatives, including rotating customer question/requests coverage.

·  Attend to administrative tasks such as attending department/team meetings, send and receive email, respond to voicemail, serve on departmental committees, etc. 

·  Performs other Duties as Assigned by Director of Enterprise CRM.

 



Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or certification from an accredited institution in information technology, or a related field. 
  • Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201 or ADM 301) or equivalent knowledge/experience.
  • Three years of professional experience in the administration, design, and/or implementation of Salesforce.com, including experience creating objects, fields and workflows, and customizing page layouts, fields, tabs and business processes.

While this role will allow for remote work, the person hired will need to periodically work in-person on the St. Paul campus and therefore will need to live within the greater Twin Cities area or surrounding, commutable areas.
