Shift:   Monday-Friday days with call and fair share of holidays, call/holiday coverage will be reviewed during department interview

Salary:  $78,520 - $127,961/year based on applicable supervisory and RN experience

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Act as a resource person for patients, families, nursing staff and other health care professionals in area of expertise. Collaborates with collaborative MD in difficult or complicated cases and as agreed upon in collaborative agreement. Collaborates with other health professionals in the provision of patient care while maintaining standards of care utilizing the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as the foundation for nursing practice and meeting the standards for regulatory requirements for state and federal agencies. Conducts comprehensive health assessments and demonstrates a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the diagnosis and treatment of actual and potential health problems. Enters into collaborative practice agreements with MD colleagues. Manage clients within specialty: performs patient histories and physical exams; orders/performs diagnostic procedures; monitors patient condition, lab values and results of diagnostic procedures; and develop treatment goals. Promote and achieve satisfaction of external and internal customers. Effectively intercede with families and patients and resolve concerns related to the delivery of health care services. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.

 

Qualifications

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's program or a certificate program. Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. This position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
