POSITION TITLE: RN Administrative Supervisor DEPARTMENT: Nursing Administration
REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical Care 
JOB SUMMARY
The RN Administrative Supervisor is a management position responsible for directing, coordinating and providing high quality care to patients. The RN Administrative Supervisor oversees the implementation of systems for evaluation of clinical competencies, policy and procedures and performance improvement. He/she is also responsible for appropriate patient admissions based on admitting criteria developed and approved by the medical staff and administration at Los Alamitos Medical Center. This position supervises all areas and staff on one shift. Acts as a liaison between administration, medical and hospital staff. In the absence of administrative staff, the Supervisor has been delegated the accountability to make administrative decisions.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
MANDATORY:
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of California
American Heart Association BLS and ACLS
Healthy Interventions training or equivalent within three months of hire and annually thereafter
Ability to use computer and a variety of software applications
A minimum of two years clinical experience in acute hospital nursing
Supervisory or charge experience
PREFERRED:
A Bachelor of Science, Master of Science or related degree
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time Must be able to withstand long and occasionally erratic working hours Must have dexterity, coordination, visual and auditory acuity
