Job Summary

Under the direction of the FCM Program Manager, the Program Coordinator, will be part of a dynamic team responsible for administrative support and strategic planning for a residency redesign effort for both the current residency program and the expansion of a new residency track. The program coordinator will focus on curriculum development, compliance, and accreditation, as well as teaching and learning activities while coordinating meetings for stakeholders. This multifaceted role involves conducting, promoting, evaluating, and supporting health professions education programs in compliance with organizational objectives and nationally accepted accreditation standards and requirements. In addition, the program coordinator will support learners (including but not limited to faculty, residents, clinical fellows, graduate or undergraduate learners, and practicing or licensed professionals) in areas such as scheduling, core competencies, recruitment, assessment, and evaluations. Coordinating and scheduling all activities associated with the ongoing administration of health professions education programs will also be a core aspect of this role.

The UCSF Department of Family and Community Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital seeks to recruit a Program Coordinator for the Family and Community Residency Program at ZSFG and to support the growth of the new UCSF Health track. The program coordinator will be a member of the design team that will conceptualize and execute the launch in 2025. The ideal candidate will be a pragmatic problem-solver and a team player, with excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, with at least 1year of experience working in an office, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting.  Experience working in educational programs (i.e. Residency or fellowship program) is highly desired.

This position requires independent problem solving and decision-making, and candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities.  This position requires the ability to carry out multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while encountering frequent disruptions in workflow from residents, faculty, and staff.  The ability to manage one’s time effectively to ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned work is imperative, as is the maintenance of professionalism, customer service, and a calm demeanor when juggling multiple requests.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
