Description

 

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Pharmacology/Toxicology Chair's Office, is seeking a Researcher II. The Researcher II will be responsible for biochemical and cellular assays such as protein isolation/purification, cellular toxicity, growth assays and mitochondrial assays.

General Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision:

  • To set up and perform routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals.
  • To collect, enter and summarize data.
  • To monitor results and report unusual outcomes.

Hourly Salary Range     $15.50 - $23.51

 

Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • OR Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
  • OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience

Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Preferences

  • Experience in mitochondrial assays, radioisotopes, mammalian cell culture and affinity for biochemical analysis are preferred.
