For this role, this individual will be responsible for applying single-cell multi-omics to study somatic mutations or epimutations in the biology of aging. It is expected that this individual has basic research laboratory skills, while technique-centric training will be provided. The individual is also expected to present the progress of the project orally and in writing in scientific manuscripts and grant progress reports under supervision. 
40% Molecular Biology
Extract gDNA, perform qPCR and NGS library prep including single-cell bisulfite sequencing or whole-genome sequencing library. 
40% Cell culture work
Isolate cells from mouse tissues, or culture, passage or treat cells, which are commercial cell lines. 
10% Data analysis
Collect, manage and analyze data, for example, cell pictures, cell proliferation and library QC as well as preparation of data in a form that is suitable for presentation and publication.
10% Report, presentation, writing and administrative
Attend and present on lab meetings or other scientific meetings. Report progress or results in writing in scientific manuscripts. Regular work for lab maintenance.


Required Qualifications
-  BS/BA, or equivalent degree in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics or a related field or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years. 
-  Experience in molecular experiments, e.g. NGS library prep, especially single-cell bisulfite seq library prep, and in cell culture work 
-  Strong data management and problem-solving skills
-  An ability to multitask and to work with a team and independently
Preferred Qualifications
-  Experience in flow cytometry, tissue dissection or mouse work
-  Experience in computational analysis or in collaboration with bioinformaticians.
