50% Technical research support: carry out experiments under the supervision of the PI and/or a senior laboratory member. Responsibilities may include assistance with intracranial surgeries, analysis of rodent behavior, and processing brain tissue samples.
50% Maintenance of transgenic mouse colonies, including husbandry, breeding, welfare, and collection of tissue samples for genotyping.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in neuroscience or a related field or a combination of related education and work experience to equal 4 years
- Previous experience working with mice
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and ideas to lab team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Interest in research on drug addiction and/or neuropsychiatric disorders, using laboratory mice as an experimental system.
