Position Highlights | The Renquist Laboratory at the University of Arizona is looking for a Research Technician II interested in conducting research aimed at understanding the metabolic and cardiovascular effects of obesity. Current research in the lab is focused on the role of the liver GABA shunt and liver GABA transporters in obesity induced hypertension, insulin resistance, and hyperinsulinemia. These studies include genetic models, drug development, and clinical translation. Although this job posting is focused on what we know we’ll be working on, we are sure that with the added knowledge the successful candidate will bring, we will branch out and expand our research horizons. We are happy to train anyone who brings a different set of expertise that will advance our work. Our goals are to continuously extend the scope and application of our findings.
