Research Technician I - Trotman Lab

Position Description

The Trotman Lab at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is accepting applications for a full-time Research Technician. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team to defeat cancer, performing lab research and related cancer trials in mice. The Trotman lab is developing new cancer therapy using genetically engineered mice that recapitulate human cancer and metastasis that is resistant to today’s standard of care. The purpose of this position is to test novel therapies before they are tested in human. Opportunities for advancement are possible.


Position Requirements

Education: Applicant should have a BS or MS degree in a scientific discipline.
Skills and experience: Applicants must be highly organized, self-motivated, have general laboratory experience, and be eager to succeed as part of a team. Previous experience with lab techniques such as tissue culture, molecular biology techniques or animal handling are a plus.

The salary range for this role is $45,000-49,449.   The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
