Position Summary:
The Research Technician Civil and Environmental Engineering will support Dr. Wenqing Xu by conducting experiments on contaminant adsorption. The specific activities include setting up experiments, running chemical analysis, and writing weekly reports.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The individual will be responsible for setting up experiments and running chemical analysis.
  • The individual will assist other teammates to conduct chemical analysis.
  • The individual will meet with the research team (fellow researchers, faculty, and other industry peers) to share research progress and inspire new ideas during group brainstorming.
  • Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field required.
  • The individual must have strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • The individual must be able to work independently as well as with others in a productive manner.
  • The individual must have basic lab experience provided at the undergraduate student level,
  • The individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills including being well-versed in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field preferred.
